SUMMARY:Presentation of the book “El mapa del tresor”\, a story inspired in Antoni Tàpies
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Museu Tàpies hosts the presentation of The treasure map written by Alba Puig and illustrated by Àgata Gil\, the book was recently published by Mediterrània in their Palomitas de Arte collection. The event will feature the author and illustrator\, who will discuss the book’s creation process and their approach to the world of Antoni Tàpies. \nA piece of paper with an X drawn on it seems to indicate the existence of a treasure. But what if things aren’t exactly what they seem? Based on this premise\, The treasure map invites children to discover that the same image can give rise to multiple interpretations and that imagination is an essential tool for looking at the world. \nInspired by the work Ochre and blue stains\, an Antoni Tàpies’s 1972 work\, this story introduces young children to contemporary art through a narrative that fosters curiosity\, creativity\, and observation. The book is part of the collection Crispetes d’Art\, a series of picture books that introduce children to the work of prominent artists through fiction and play. \n  \nTechnical specifications \n\nText: Alba Puig Romañach\nIllustrations: Ágata Gil Capeta\nPublisher: Mediterrània (collection Crispetes d’Art)\nPublication date: September 9\nSize: 17.5 × 17.5 cm\nBinding: paperback\nPages: 24\nRecommended age: 3 years and up\nTheme: art\, painting and creativity\nPrice: €10\nISBN (Catalan): 979-13-88106-36-1\nISBN (Spanish): 979-13-88106-39-2

SUMMARY:Book-Wall. Reading club 2026
DESCRIPTION:Within the framework of the exhibition Àngel Jové. De intactu\, we have organised a reading group in collaboration with the bookshops Finestres\, La Central and La Impossible. On this occasion\, the selection of books\, which as always will be the responsibility of the bookseller\, will be related to the list of books published by the Anagrama publishing house that will incorporate illustrations by Jové on their covers. \nLlibre-mur [Book-Wall] (1990) is a work by Antoni Tàpies that lends its name to the series of reading clubs we have organised in recent years in collaboration with bookshops in the neighbourhood concerning our current exhibitions. Tàpies’ interest in books\, both as objects and as sources of knowledge\, and the fact that the museum premises formerly housed a publishing company\, Montaner y Simón\, make dialogues like this about writing\, reading and art appropriate. \n  \nProgramme \n· Tuesday\, June 2\, 2026\, at 6:30 p.m.\, at the Library of the Museu Tàpies: “Bajo el signo de marte“\, by Fritz Zorn (Editorial Anagrama)\, with Cèlia Esteva\, from the La Central. bookstore. \n  \n· Tuesday\, July 14\, 2026\, at 6:30 p.m.\, at the Library of the Museu Tàpies: “El héroe de las mansardas de Mansard“\, by Alvaro Pombo (Editorial Anagrama)\, with Olga Federico and Mireia Perelló\, from the  La Impossible bookstore. \n  \n· Wednesday\, September 16\, 2026\, at 6:30 p.m.\, at the Library of the Museu Tàpies: “El sobrino de Wittgenstein“\, by Thomas Bernhard (Editorial Anagrama)\, with Noelia Nistal\, from the Finestres bookstore. \n  \n[Image: Exhibition “Àngel Jové. SUMMARY:Presentation of the catalogue Àngel Jové. De Intactu
DESCRIPTION:The presentation of the catalogue of Àngel Jové. De Intactu concludes the public program that the Museu Tàpies has organized within the framework of the temporary exhibition\, a program that has been marked by polyphony\, dialogue between disciplines and the desire to open new ways of approaching the figure of a creator with a production of many registers. \nMore than a record of the exhibition\, this catalogue expands and unfolds the universe of Àngel Jové from a plurality of perspectives. Thus\, the publication brings together contributions from leading voices in the fields of art\, literature\, and thought\, creating a multifaceted reading that engages with the complexity of his work. \nThe texts by Enrique Vila-Matas\, Hans Ulrich Obrist\, Javier Antich\, José Luis Corazón\, Jesús Martínez Clarà\, and Maria Josep Balsach offer complementary approaches to Jové’s trajectory: from the most intimate and literary dimension to the international reach of his practice; from a historical review of the Catalan artistic context of the 1970s and 80s to the philosophical\, aesthetic\, and poetic readings that explore recurring concepts in his work\, such as illumination\, trauma\, the scream\, and the horizon. \nThis meeting will be an opportunity to share the key aspects of a publication that extends the research begun by the exhibition and contributes to situating Àngel Jové’s work from new interpretive frameworks\, making the catalogue a collective work that\, true to the spirit of Àngel Jové. De Intactu continues to raise questions and generate dialogue. \nThe event will feature the participation of Imma Prieto\, director of the Tàpies Museum; Maria Josep Balsach\, curator of the exhibitionÀngel Jové. De Intactu and Enrique Vila-Matas\, one of the voices included in the catalogue. As the culmination of the event\, and of the public program linked to the exhibition\, the poet\, narrator\, and literary critic Susanna Rafart will offer a reading of poems conceived as an activation of Àngel Jové’s poetic constellation.

SUMMARY:Anna Irina Russell. One\, Two\, Three. The beginning returns barefoot
DESCRIPTION:  \nPlaying lies at the heart of Anna Irina Russell’s artistic practice. Throughout her work\, she reclaims it as both a methodological framework and a mode of relation\, resisting interpretations that reduce it to mere frivolity. As Antoni Tàpies observed in his 1967 essay El joc de saber mirar\, “To play does not mean doing things ‘just because’ (…). Through play\, as children\, we learn to grow up. Through play\, we cultivate our spirit and expand the horizons of our vision and our understanding.” \nRussell’s work is deeply rooted in this sensibility. Play functions as a catalyst\, shifting the habitual relationships between people\, materials\, and their surroundings. Often taking the form of large-scale soft inflatable sculptures that move and breathe\, her practice unsettles the conventional hierarchy between artwork and audience\, transforming participants into active agents: bodies that reshape the work even as they are reshaped by it. \nIn the sculpture Antoni Tàpies envisioned for the Oval Hall of the MNAC\, he imagined an oversized sock that visitors could step inside—a hollow\, perforated body conceived to be inhabited. With one\, two\, three. The beginning returns barefoot.\, Anna Irina Russell revisits this playful imaginary and brings its latent possibilities to life. The work invites us to enter Tàpies’ imagined sock and explore the inner workings of an artistic practice that is as much about learning to see through play as it is about the distinctly contemporary—and profoundly poetic—urgency of reimagining the relationships between living beings\, objects\, and space. \n  \nThe artistic practice of Anna Irina Russell is articulated through soft sculpture and installation as a way of speculating on non-hegemonic communication processes\, where air and breathing function as relational materials. His work proposes situations in which matter becomes communicative and subtly subverts the structures that usually organize the way we relate. Based on a trust in the expressive capacity of matter\, his research focuses on inflatable structures that breathe\, expand and waver on the threshold of collapse\, attending to what resists words and overflows images: overflow\, contagion and asphyxiation. \nHe graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona in 2015 and later took the Master in Sound Art in 2018. He is currently an artist in residence at La Escocesa (Barcelona)\, after having been at Hangar and Fabra i Coats. In 2025 he received the Because of Many Suns award from the Collezione Taurisano during Artorama (Marseille)\, and in 2022 he obtained the Miquel Casablancas Prize for the installation Contain · Overflow. \nHe has just inaugurated his solo exhibition The first flower is born in the air at the Can Mario Museum of the Vila Casas Foundation\, curated by blanca arias. She has recently presented the solo exhibitions As elastic as a lung a Tabakalera (San Sebastian\, 2025) i A contagion in Bombon Projects (Barcelona\, 2025). He has also shown his work collectively in institutions such as the Fundació Joan Miró\, Santa Mònica\, La Panera\, MACBA\, La Casa Encendida\, CCCB\, among others. In 2024 he published Take a breath\, an artist’s book published by Brillo Editorial. \n  \nActivity programmed as part of the Museu Tàpies series Following the Sun\, entitled Uncovering the Gaze\, curated by Carolina Ciuti.

SUMMARY:Those Who Can Remember the Future. A series of artistic-poetic actions\, part of the Blai Bonet Year
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Museu Tàpies joins the commemoration of the Blai Bonet Year\, participating in the series of artistic-poetic actions entitled Those Who Can Remember the Future\, with the collaboration of the Museu Picasso and the Fundació Joan Miró as well. \nBlai Bonet was a personal friend of both Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies. He explored the work of Pablo Picasso on various occasions\, especially in the catalogue of the first Erotic Picasso exhibition in Barcelona. Drawing from this relationship\, and as part of the commemoration of the centenary of the birth of this writer from Santanyí\, the series Those Who Can Remember the Future explores the relationship between poetry and art\, examining how the word combines with other disciplines\, such as dance\, music and performance\, with a particular interest in researching the life of the gaze. \nThe session hosted by the Museu Tàpies takes as its title Here Pain is Made of Sweet Iron\, and features the participation of the poets Alba Noguera\, Júlia Febrer and Sergi Olivet\, who join the dancer Mar Aguiló. As a kind of triptych\, the three young poets and the dancer come into dialogue with the space and contents of the exhibition Antoni Tàpies: The Perpetual Movement of the Wall\, which recently could be visited at the Museu Tàpies. The voices of Alba Noguera\, Júlia Febrer and Sergi Olivet\, and the weaving elegance of Mar Aguiló’s steps\, offer a unique way to experience the exhibition space. \n  \nThis activity has been developed jointly with the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes\, organiser of the entire series. \n  \nMar Aguiló \nBorn in Palma\, Aguiló is a choreographer\, dancer and artistic director. She trained at the École Atelier Rudra Béjart\, Switzerland\, and for the past sixteen years has performed with Spain’s Compañía Nacional de Danza\, working with choreographers such as William Forsythe\, Jiří Kylián\, Johan Inger and Mats Ek. \nAs a creator\, she has developed projects that explore the hybridisation of languages and the dialogue between dance and architectural and museum spaces. In this vein of work\, she has collaborated with institutions such as Museo del Prado\, Fundació Joan Miró\, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and MACBA. Featured projects include Stella\, Swan and Swans. She currently complements her career at the Compañía Nacional de Danza with the direction of the Palma Dansa festival. \n  \nAlba Noguera \nAlba Noguera (Palma\, 1997) studied Philosophy at the University of Granada and has a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam. Her first novel\, Monument(Adia Edicions\, 2025) was awarded the Antoni Vidal Ferrando Prize for Narrative. In 2025 she was a finalist for the Salvador Iborra Prize for Young Poetry. She has published several stories in the magazine Morlanda and is member of the editorial council of the magazine Solstice. He has been a resident at Casa Blai Bonet\, in Santanyí\, and currently combines writing with work in the field of cultural management. \n  \nJúlia Febrer \nBorn in Sant Joan\, Mallorca\, Febrer understands poetry as a way to be in the world and read the world. This relationship gives rise to texts\, photography and artistic installations. She has been the coordinator of Viure Poèticament (Manacor\, 2025)\, a thematic series on the relationship between literature and other disciplines. Her poetry book Arrel inoïda (Adia\, 2025) was awarded the Ciutat de Manacor Miquel Àngel Riera Prize. This upcoming autumn she will release Llum de cendra (Viena\, 2026)\, after having won the Martí Dot Prize in Sant Feliu de Llobregat. Febrer currently works as a linguistic consultant and proofreader\, but her writing is situated in the poetics of errors and gaps in language. \n  \nSergi Olivet \nBorn in Tarragona\, Olivet has a degree in Literary Studies and is currently studying Philosophy at the University of Barcelona. In the field of music\, he has created his own rap project under the name XTerra\, releasing the EP La X del Mapa. He has twice been nominated for the Salvador Iborra Poetry Competition (2023 and 2025)\, and for many years has participated actively in politically-engaged venues\, initiating cultural activities in Tarragona and Barcelona.

SUMMARY:Claudia Pagès Rabal. For That Moment I’ll Have Been in the World
DESCRIPTION:Claudia Pagès Rabal presents\, as part of the third edition of the cycle The Chairs of Tàpies\, in the Reflection Room designed by Antoni Tàpies himself at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra\, a photo/light installation featuring a recital of a text setting out from Tàpies’s reflections concerning walls\, doors\, graffiti and inscriptions. \nBased on the use of gobos\, traditionally used in theatre to create textures and atmospheres but with a growing presence in public spaces to project shop logos onto the pavement\, Pagès shifts our perspective on the space to an overhead view. This shift is articulated through the future perfect in the title\, a verb tense in which the action has already been completed in the future from which it is expressed. Thus\, the piece constructs a time in suspension\, a space to imagine from a present immersed in a crisis that is also of the imagination. \n  \nThe work of Claudia Pagès Rabal interweaves writing\, sculpture and choreography. To do this\, she creates visual and language devices including video installations\, works on paper\, books and other material forms that she uses to conceptualise her projects. Her most recent exploration has focused on the Mediterranean and its trade routes\, language and time\, and the search for primary signifiers in territories that function as palimpsests. \nHer work has been exhibited at institutions including mumok\, Vienna (2025); Index\, Stockholm (2025); Art Sonje\, Seoul (2025); Chisenhale\, London (2025); IVAM\, València (2024); Sculpture Center\, New York (2024); CA2M\, Madrid (2023); Fundació Joan Miró\, Barcelona (2023); Tabakalera\, Donostia (2022); Vleeshal\, Middelburg (2022); MACBA\, Barcelona (2022); CAPC\, Bordeaux (2022); and Kunstverein Braunschweig\, Braunschweig (2021). She has also featured in the 18th Istanbul Biennale (2025); Manifesta 15\, Barcelona (2024); and March Meetings Sharjah Art Foundation\, Arab Emirates (2018). Pagès Rabal represents Catalonia in Venice at its 61st Biennale (2026). \nShe has published her hair (2020) with Onomatopee\, and rates i cuques (2020) with Jupiter Woods\, Yaby and AC/E. Her first novel\, Més de dos aigües\, was published in Catalan by Empúries Narrativa in 2024\, and she launched the book Gerund Violence with Wendy’s Subway in 2025. Pagès won the Ojo Crítico visual arts prize in 2022\, and has been resident artist in different places\, including EMPAC\, Troy (2025); Triangle France\, Marseilles (2020); and Gasworks\, London (2017). \n  \nSeries “The Chairs of Tàpies” are curated by Judith Barnés.

SUMMARY:Rae Teitelbaum. A Body of Many
DESCRIPTION:  \nRae Teitelbaum’s practice investigates ways of imagining and enacting forms of existence in relation to human and more-than-human worlds. Informed by queer\, trans\, intersectional feminist\, and decolonial thought\, their work brings embodied\, collaborative modes of knowing into conversation with the places\, bodies and beings that inhabit the Iberian Peninsula. Their research asks how such connections might be collectively experienced and reimagined\, creating openings  for alternative modes of living together. \nFor this performance\, Teitelbaum places shepherding centre-stage\, approaching it simultaneously as a lived practice and an imaginative proposition. Shepherding becomes a lens through which to consider care\, migration\, gender\, and our entanglement with more-than-human life. \nWool forms a central thread within this inquiry. Collected from rural communities in Portugal and transformed through felting\, it retains traces of animals\, land\, labour\, and the legacy of an industry that has largely vanished. The artist treats wool as a substance marked by ecological\, economic\, and colonial histories. Through sound\, movement\, and collective presence\, these histories progressively give shape to the notion of a “body of many”: a plurality held together through networks of care\, reciprocity\, and interdependence. \nThis exploration extends to Antoni Tàpies’s Mitjó [Sock]\, the discarded\, controversial sculpture that Teitelbaum reclaims as a site of possibility. Its holes become apertures onto transformation\, futurity\, and other forms of relation. The performance draws us into this opening: not beyond the world\, but deeper into its intricate web of dependencies. \n  \nActivity programmed as part of the Museu Tàpies series Following the Sun\, entitled Uncovering the Gaze\, curated by Carolina Ciuti.

SUMMARY:Barcelona Dibuixa festival 2026. Natural Futures. Workshop led by Clara-Tanit
DESCRIPTION:  \nFrom the series Natural history by Antoni Tàpies series\, 1950-1951\, illustrator Clara-Tanit Arqué invites us to a drawing workshop for all ages where we will explore the possibilities of working with ink. With this series\, Tàpies critiqued certain social injustices and the political capitalism that have shaped contemporary history. Could we imagine other stories? What other history might be possible? Together\, we will create a new series that depicts alternative futures. \n  \nClara-Tanit (Girona\, 1981) is an illustrator and cartoonist specializing in graphic storytelling. After a career linked to comics and illustration\, she has published the graphic novelsWho loves strawberries? i Wassalon(Astiberri)\, the latter nominated for Revelation Author at the Barcelona International Comic Fair 2008. She has worked for the “Què Fem?” section of La Vanguardia and has developed editorial\, children’s\, and advertising illustration projects. Today\, she combines her two passions\, communication and drawing\, through graphic recording and graphic facilitation\, collaborating with institutions such as the Barcelona City Council\, the Barcelona Provincial Council\, and the Institute of Marine Sciences. \nForma part del duet Les Rupestres\, with Mireia Pons\, with whom she creates artistic proposals for children and families around drawing\, the body and play for spaces such as the Fundació Miró\, the Museum of Archaeology\, El Culturista or the Festival Vida. \n  \nA proposal by the Museu Tàpies with the collaboration of Institut Escola Eixample for the Barcelona Dibuixa Fest

SUMMARY:Extramural 2026. Death and Resistance Seminar
DESCRIPTION:  \nAs part of the project Extramural: Timelines / resurrection\, the Death and Resistance seminar proposes a space for shared reflection on death as a political\, social and cultural experience. While the Dora García project explores resurrection as a practice of justice\, the reactivation of memory and the recovery of silenced voices\, these sessions broaden this research to address what it means to die in our day\, how the politics of mourning are constructed and how joint conceptions of death might become forms of political resistance. \nTaking as starting points the ideas of Elias Canetti on death and power and Achille Mbembe’s notion of necropolitics\, as well as the fiction of writers such as Octavia E. Butler and Philip K. Dick\, the sessions arouse dialogue on artistic practices\, research projects and common experiences that question normative forms of dying\, remembering and building archives. In this regard\, and in a space that triangulates between critical thinking\, artistic practice and collective action\, the programme proposes understanding death not as an endpoint\, but as a place from where to rethink memory\, forms of shared existence and the possibilities of political transformation. \n  \nPROGRAMME \nThese sessions feature invited artists\, researchers and cultural and social agents working from different perspectives on death\, memory and resistance. The five participating projects are as follows: \n– Mortals (Morir Queer)\, with Albert Potrony and Roser Sanjuan: research on queer practices of death and mourning. \n– Anarchivo Sida\, with Nancy Garín of Equipo Re: a project that activates dissident archives on HIV/AIDS memories\, from artistic\, political and communitarian perspectives. \n– Forats per a fer un rèquiem\, with Roger Aixut and Laia Torrents\, of Cabosanroque: artistic research on memory\, ritual and contemporary forms of commemoration. \n– Donem llum a la mort\, with Tànit Güell: an initiative approaching death through reflection\, conversation and personal experience. \n– Som provisionals\, with Júlia Sánchez Cid: cooperative that works to promote the sovereignty of death with a community approach\, researching alternatives to the funeral industry\, promoting self-management and collective empowerment. \nThese reflections will be followed by a debate\, moderated by Dora García. \n  \nPlease visit the full seminar program  \n  \n[Image: Still from If I Could Wish for Something\, digital film\, Dora García\, 2020]

SUMMARY:Extramural 2026. A Walk with Dora García
DESCRIPTION:  \nWithin the framework of the artistic project Extramural. Timelines / resurrection\, and as a conclusion to the panel discussion Death and Resistance\, Dora García invites us to tour the Montjuïc Cemetery through a performative reading that activates its funerary and political archive. Tombs\, mass graves\, memorials and landscapes of mourning become the volumes of a living library\, where each grave triggers stories that cross the social\, cultural and political history of Barcelona. \nThus\, along the route\, the memories of figures such as Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia\, Bonaventura Durruti\, Salvador Puig Antich\, Salvador Seguí or Lluís Companys emerge\, who dialogue with the mass graves of the Civil War and Francoist repression\, as well as with the anonymous stories that inhabit the cemetery. Rather than reconstructing a chronology\, the proposal relates different layers of memory to ask how collective memory is constructed\, which bodies are worthy of mourning and which stories still remain on the margins. \nThe research is part of a broader framework of reflection that connects memory policies with contemporary movements for good death and practices death positive\, which claim a more conscious and communal relationship with death\, as well as with queer perspectives that question normative ways of understanding mourning\, kinship and the transmission of memory. In this sense\, the tour also dialogues with current debates on necropolitics and the politics of mourning\, understanding funerary spaces as places where the relationships between power\, memory and resistance become visible. \nFar from conceiving death as an end point\, Dora García proposes the cemetery as a space for political transformation: a living archive where absences continue to produce meaning and from which to imagine other ways of remembering\, of creating community and of relating to death. \n  \nA proposal of the project Extramural 2026\, by Dora García\, Timelines / resurrection. \nCoordination: Judith Barnés\, head of public programs at the Tàpies Museum \n  \n[Image courtesy of Cementiris de Barcelona]

SUMMARY:Extramural 2026. Presentation of issue 8 of the magazine Convit/e\, Kintsugi\, by Dora García
DESCRIPTION:After the group walk round Montjuïc cemetery led by Dora García\, social producer Mescladís will be presenting issue 8 of the magazine Convit/e\, Kintsugi\, devoted entirely to the project Extramural: Timelines / resurrection. \nSetting out from the Japanese practice of kintsugi —which repairs broken pottery while making the fractures visible— this issue of Convit/e reflects upon absences\, memory and ways of reconstructing what is lost. This approach enters into a direct dialogue with the questions raised during the visit to the cemetery led by the artist in the morning\, and also during the seminar Death and Resistance held this week: How do we construct collective memory? Which stories and which bodies do we remember? And how can absences continue to generate meaning in the present? \nIn this respect\, Convit/e expands and extends the exploration begun in Extramural using a different medium\, that of a publication. Thus\, Martín Habiague\, director of Mescladís\, and Dora García will be presenting the latest edition of the magazine and explaining the direct link with the artistic project pursued by the Museu Tàpies. After this\, Frau Diamanda and Diego Marchante will have an open discussion of some of the texts\, images and ideas that struck them. \nThe event will continue with Taste and Art\, a gastronomic offering by Mescladís\, which will turn the themes of the magazine into a shared experience around the table. The day will also include the Convit/e Contest\, a participatory activity revolving around ways of recording\, reconstructing and meeting up again\, as well as Mexican food\, a market of works of art and Dj set by Frau Diamanda and Dj live music by Sabina MX. \n  \nA proposal of the project Extramural 2026\, by Dora García\, Timelines / resurrection. \nCoordination: Judith Barnés\, head of public programs at the Museu Tàpies \n

SUMMARY:Beyond looking. The Sala de Reflexió: a shared experience.
DESCRIPTION:We live surrounded by images\, noise and bustle. What happens if we stop for a while? \nWe invite you to take a break and discover the Sala de Reflexió (Reflection Room)\, while experiencing the works of Antoni Tàpies installed there. \nBefore entering\, we will participate in a very special ritual. An experience based on shared trust\, it will invite us to look at art – and even the whole world – in a very different way. Once inside the Room\, we will draw upon the relationship between the space and the artist’s works to forge new connections\, exploring the possibilities offered by our own actions and gestures.

SUMMARY:Extramural 2026. Second time/resurrection
DESCRIPTION:To close the art project Extramural: Timelines / resurrection\, and in partnership with the Filmoteca de Catalunya and the LOOP Festival\, the Museu Tàpies is organising a season of screenings featuring three films by Dora García that share a single question: what does it mean to come back? Coming back to reading something\, talking about something\, bringing back bodies\, idea and voices that history has tended to erase. Rather than seeing resurrection as a supernatural event\, the season approaches it as a political and poetic practice: a gesture to reactivate memory that makes possible new forms of transmission\, resistance and community. \nThe screenings of The Joycean Society (2013)\, Segunda Vez (2018) and (Revolución\, cumple tu promesa) Amor rojo (2024) revisit different times and geographies in order to explore the persistence of ideas despite their apparent defeat. In all three films\, reading\, conversation\, performance and film become devices able to bring out what seemed lost and keep alive things that continue to address the present. \nThe Second Time / resurrection series brings to cinema the issues that have run throughout the art project Extramural: Timelines / resurrection: how ideas outlast absences\, how pictures can reactivate memory and what forms of life continue to emerge even after their disappearance. Instead of bringing it to an end\, these three screenings propose a new opening up: each viewing is a second time\, a new reading\, a possible resurrection. \n  \nPROGRAMME \n10 November \nThe Joycean Society is a film that follows a reading group at the James Joyce Foundation in Zurich\, which has been meeting since 1986 to read Finnegans Wake together. This film turns shared reading into an exercise of perseverance\, interpretation and construction of meaning\, revealing the reading community as a form of cultural resistance. \nThe screening will be followed by a conversation between Dora García and writer and translator Miriam Cano. \n  \n17 November \nSegunda Vez takes the figure of Argentinian psychoanalyst and theorist Oscar Masotta as its starting point to revisit the relations between concept art\, psychoanalysis and political violence during the Argentinian dictatorship. Somewhere between a document\, a fiction and a historical recreation\, the film reflects upon the forced disappearances and the possibility of restoring\, through art\, what power has tried to erase. \nThe session will end with a conversation between Dora García and researcher Cloe Masotta. \n  \n20 November \n(Revolución\, cumple tu promesa) Amor rojo takes up the legacy of thinker and revolutionary Alexandra Kollontai to ask what remains today of the emancipatory promise of the 20th century. Connecting the revolutionary experiments of Russia and Mexico with contemporary Latin American trans-feminisms\, the film imagines revolution not as a closed event\, but as promise that remains open. \nThe screening will be accompanied by a conversation between Dora García and writer and journalist Andrea Valdés. \n  \nFilm series with the collaboration of the Filmoteca de Catalunya\, as part of the Loop Festival \nA proposal of the project Extramural 2026\, by Dora García\, Timelines / resurrection. \nCoordination: Judith Barnés\, head of public programme at the Museu Tàpies \n  \n[Image: Still from Segunda Vez\, digital film by Dora García\, 2018]
