Publishes <i class=\"spip\">L\u2019art contra l\u2019est\u00e8tica<\/i>, a new compilation of articles and statements. Publication of the monographs\u00a0<i class=\"spip\">Antoni T\u00e0pies i l\u2019esperit catal\u00e0<\/i>, by Pere Gimferrer, and\u00a0<i class=\"spip\">Antoni T\u00e0pies. Zeichen und Strukturen<\/i>, by Werner Schmalenbach. Retrospective exhibitions in Humleb\u00e6k (Louisiana Museum), Berlin (Nationalgalerie), London (Hayward Gallery) and Swansea (Glynn Vivian Art Gallery). In Paris (Galerie Maeght) he presents a series of monotypes, motivated to a large extent by the political situation in Spain and in particular by the execution of the Catalan anarchist Salvador Puig Antich. Solo exhibitions in D\u00fcsseldorf, London, Toronto, G\u00f6teborg, Mexico City and New York.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"spip\"><strong class=\"spip\">1975<\/strong><br \/>\nContributes with a lithograph and a poster to the campaign mounted by various civic entities calling for the abolition of the death penalty in Spain, and participates in various actions organised by opponents of the Franco regime in favour of an amnesty for political prisoners and the definitive return of democratic freedoms. Produces five etchings for the book\u00a0<i class=\"spip\">\u00c7a suit son cours<\/i>\u00a0by Edmond Jab\u00e8s, and a series of engravings for a book by Jean Daive, and collaborates with Shuzo Takiguchi on the work\u00a0<i class=\"spip\">Llambrec material<\/i>. Solo exhibitions in Barcelona, Zurich, New York, Basle, Seville, Los Angeles, Geneva, Palma de Majorca and Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"spip\"><strong class=\"spip\">1976<\/strong><br \/>\nTravels to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, where he attends the opening of his retrospective at the Fondation Maeght, subsequently shown at the Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Mir\u00f3 in Barcelona. In Venice he visits the Biennale, where he shows in the exhibition\u00a0<i class=\"spip\">Spagna: Vanguarda artistica e realt\u00e0 sociale<\/i>. In various texts written in the course of the year he reflects on the condition of the artist, politics and the ethical commitments of \u201cculture workers\u201d, manifesting the concerns of Spanish intellectuals as the country begins the transition towards democracy. A new retrospective exhibition in Tokyo (Seibu Museum of Art). Georges Raillard publishes the monograph\u00a0<i class=\"spip\">T\u00e0pies<\/i>.
