Antoni T\u00e0pies The Practice of Art<\/span><\/i> will be opened on July 19, 2024,\u00a0 at 7 p.m., with an event curated by Imma Prieto and Judith Barn\u00e9s, which will feature the participation of Blanca Llum Vidal and Los Sara Font\u00e1n; Lolo&Sosaku and the tribute to Mika Vainio.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Programme<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00b7 Blanca Llum Vidal and Los Sara Font\u00e1n. Poetic action<\/strong><\/p>\n Public presentation of the eighth \u201cTapies\u2019 Chairs\u201d programme. An action that will modulate textures, process voices and give sound to what perhaps was not intended to be music. Summoning a lot of authors, the poet and the musicians will try to transform the word into rhythmic matter and extract sounds from things to build a story. The chair, like T\u00e0pies, will not only be an idea. It will be, above all, an object and reality to think about, stir, meditate on.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00b7 Interlude. Tribute to Mika Vainio<\/strong><\/p>\n As an interlude, the work of Mika Vainio <\/span>Sondear (Probe)<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 will allow us to hear what sounds in real time on the roof of the museum with the sculpture by Antoni T\u00e0pies <\/span>N\u00favol i Cadira<\/span><\/i> (1990). This sound installation by the Finnish artist, created in 2001 as part of the exhibition <\/span>Discourse architectures,<\/span><\/i> was reactivated for the project <\/span>Engagement <\/span><\/i>within the framework of the S\u00f3nar 2022 festival, which once again collaborates with the museum for this inauguration.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00b7 Lolo & Sosaku. Sound piece Tribute to Antoni T\u00e0pies<\/strong><\/p>\n Using a set of machines and a vintage piano, belonging to the composer and musical theorist Josep Barber\u00e0 i Humbert, a sound space will be built that will represent T\u00e0pies’ relationship with the music of Luigi Nonno or Giacinto Scelsi, among others. To do this, the piano in question will be manipulated with the intervention of machines, the human voice and the texts that T\u00e0pies wrote in his paintings.
