Premiere of Albert Serra’s tribute to Antoni Tàpies

The Museu Tàpies presents the tribute that the film director, producer and screenwriter Albert Serra (Banyoles, 1975) has dedicated to the artist Antoni Tàpies.

The proposal delves into one of the most emotional and surprising aspects of the artist’s universe, exploring it from Serra’s singular and provocative perspective. The film is the result of the museum’s invitation to the director to make a free, contemporary and deeply personal approach to Tàpies’ work and thought. The film does not aim to illustrate, but to evoke; generate a sensory experience that dialogues with the poetic and material force that defines his artistic career.

On May 8, at 8 p.m., the film will be publicly screened at the Filmoteca de Catalunya, in a session that will feature the participation of Albert Serra and Imma Prieto, director of the Museu Tàpies.
