The Archive of the Fundació Antoni Tàpies was created in 2009 with the aim of managing the institution’s collection of documentary material in a systematic way. Among other things, it is responsible for collecting, selecting, classifying, conserving and disseminating the documentary heritage generated by the Fundació as it carries out its various functions.

The purpose of the Archive is to enrich the institution’s plural and interdisciplinary approach to stimulating study, knowledge and debate around modern and contemporary art. The Archive plays a crucial role in fulfilling the Fundació’s mission as an educational institution, providing an essential resource for students, curators, conservationists, journalists, historians, artists, museum staff and art critics alike.

The archive is closed to the public for the foreseeable future. We are not currently accepting requests for appointments for onsite consultation of materials. Sorry for the inconveniences caused.
