From the series Natural history by Antoni Tàpies series, 1950-1951, illustrator Clara-Tanit Arqué invites us to a drawing workshop for all ages where we will explore the possibilities of working with ink. With this series, Tàpies critiqued certain social injustices and the political capitalism that have shaped contemporary history. Could we imagine other stories? What other history might be possible? Together, we will create a new series that depicts alternative futures.

Clara-Tanit (Girona, 1981) is an illustrator and cartoonist specializing in graphic storytelling. After a career linked to comics and illustration, she has published the graphic novelsWho loves strawberries? i Wassalon(Astiberri), the latter nominated for Revelation Author at the Barcelona International Comic Fair 2008. She has worked for the “Què Fem?” section of La Vanguardia and has developed editorial, children’s, and advertising illustration projects. Today, she combines her two passions, communication and drawing, through graphic recording and graphic facilitation, collaborating with institutions such as the Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona Provincial Council, and the Institute of Marine Sciences.

Forma part del duet Les Rupestres, with Mireia Pons, with whom she creates artistic proposals for children and families around drawing, the body and play for spaces such as the Fundació Miró, the Museum of Archaeology, El Culturista or the Festival Vida.
