Can books be sorted by their smell?
Books come in all shapes and sizes. How do you organise your books at home? Because of their smell? By their weight?
We are offering a morning of family activities in which to observe the physical characteristics of books, such as smell, weight, size or colour. The book is an object full of letters, syllables, words, sentences, texts and photographs, not always in the same language, using different fonts and spellings, of varied sizes and colours. We will play with all these elements to produce some creative writing in a quick and agile way.
This workshop is based on The Portable Library, a travelling selection of books inspired by the Fundació Antoni Tàpies Library, which specialises in modern and contemporary art.
